Online Application procedure
  • Application shall be submitted online only using Internet, you will also get an admit card online itself.
  • Online application can be submitted on website,
  • First register and create your Login ID and Password on the website as directed and note it down for further use.
  • Admission to B.Optom Course in the University will be made on the basis of entrance examination scheduled to be held on 21 June 2017 at Lucknow. The selection of the candidates will be strictly based on the merit of the entrance examination.
  • Minimum age for admission is 17 years on or before 31st December 2017.
  • Minimum qualifications for admission are
    1. Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (12 years)
    2. Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (10+2)
    3. An equivalent examination with 12 years schooling from a recognized board or University with Science (Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Biotechnology) and English.
    4. Candidates from general and OBC category must have secured an aggregate of at least 50% marks and at least 40% of marks in the case of SC/ST category in the qualifying examination.
  • Duration of Course is four and a half years and number of seats is 40.
  • Both males and females are eligible.
  • Candidates must be medically fit. Additional medical check-up may be done before admission (the candidates who are in the merit list are required to submit certificate of physical fitness from registered medical practitioner).
  • Candidates for the entrance test will have to pay a Non refundable fee of Rs. 2000/- for Gen & OBC and   Rs. 1200/- for SC/ST payable through Allahabad Bank or HDFC Bank along with the prescribed application form duly filled in.
  • Payment of examination fee:
    Online:          By Credit Card / Debit Card (Master/Visa Only) or Netbanking till 15 June 2017
    Candidate can directly proceed for filling of application form after payment.
    Offline:          Candidate can also deposit CASH through bank challan of Allahabad bank / HDFC bank till 12 June 2017. For this first download bank challan from website and deposit the examination fee in any branch of the Allahabad Bank or HDFC bank branch in India. The Candidate will be provided a receipt with Transaction ID number on its deposition. It is required to be upload scan copy of this Bank receipt with this transaction ID for filling the application form. In case of payment by bank Challan candidate will be re-login with their login ID and Password. Two working days after making payment in bank only then candidate will be able to fill application form. Candidate required to send scanned copy of bank receipt ready for the filling the application form at this stage.
  • Subjects for the written test are Botany, Physics, Chemistry and biology/biotechnology.
  • Please upload your passport size color photograph, scanned signature and scanned copy of your handwriting this sentence "A quick brown fox jumps high over the lazy dog" on a white paper. The photograph should be full face, from front, with white background and without spectacles. A placard showing the name of candidate and the date of photograph taken should be placed on the chest.  The format (.jpg) should be at least 300 dpi (200-500 KB size), for each (sample given online).
  • Fill all the entries in the application form carefully and check them before final submission as wrongly filled, incomplete application form will be rejected and no enquiry will be entertained regarding this.
  • For your personal reference please take a print out of the completed application form.
  • There is no need to send the printed application.
  • Login with same login ID and Password will be required for obtaining the Admit Card.
  1. Any dispute in regard to any matter referred to herewith shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Allahabad High Court of Judicature, Lucknow Bench only.
  2. The decision of the Vice-Chancellor shall be final in the matter of selection of candidates for admission to the course and no appeal shall be entertained on this subject.
  3. There is no provision for rechecking of answer sheets or communication of marks obtained at the entrance examination. Result of the entrance shall be available at the website of the University.
  4. Distribution of the seats: - Category wise distribution of seats will be as per UP Public Service Commission Scheduled Caste, Schedule tribes and other Backward Class Reservation amendment ordinance 2002.
  5. Seats may be increased or decreased at the time of counselling on the directive of the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor.
  6. In the event of more than one candidate securing same marks, the merit will be decided on the basis of highest marks obtained by the candidate in the Entrance Examination as per the following order: (i) Higher marks in Biology, (ii) Chemistry, (iii) Physics, and (iv) Intermediate examination marks in that order.
